Bedford County Utility District is proud to present our new website to the citizens of Bedford County. BCUD is proud to serve rural Bedford County with water and natural gas. The leadership and ideas of the present and past Board Members has made the expansion of our water district possible over the past several years. The Board of Commissioners, manager and employees are dedicated to meeting the challenges of such a large and diverse public water supply.
With the huge service area that we have, we must maintain an aggressive attitude toward growth, expansion, and planning for the future. Our water treatment plant on Halls Mill Road, with a pumping capacity of more than 4,000,000 gallons per day will be able to provide the purest water possible for a large portion of Bedford County for several decades.
We hope the website will be a valuable source of information about our gas and water services. With the world in a constant change with new regulations, terrorist threats, new technology and growth, the need for information is never ending. Please feel free to give us your comments on ways to improve our site, or additional information you would like to see on this site. Check the site often for new information and updates. Thanks for logging on!
